Law Centres defend the legal rights of people who cannot afford a lawyer. We are specialist legal professionals working in our local community to uphold justice and advance equality.
The immigration team in Southwark Law Centre delivers specialist legal advice and assistance including outreach, telephone and email advice to frontline advice agencies and casework including appeals and judicial review. The need for our services has never been greater.
Both of the roles require at least two years recent, professional experience of providing immigration casework in a legal or advice setting and Law Society Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Level 2 or higher. Experience of Legal Aid processes is desirable, but our organisation is not solely reliant on Legal Aid and we offer a high level of experience and expertise that can support professional development within the team. We will consider more junior caseworkers for the roles or a very experienced highly skilled lawyer able to take a role in the supervision of others.
If you would like an informal discussion about the role please contact Timothy Lawrence on 0207 732 2008
Terms and conditions include:
- Excellent Pension Scheme
- Flexible working policy
