Bhatt Murphy is a civil liberties practice offering specialist advice and representation to those who seek to hold the state to account, with a particular focus upon the agencies of the criminal justice system. They act exclusively on behalf of claimants in inquests and inquiries and public and private law claims against detaining authorities nationwide.
They are seeking a Practice Assistant to help them run their busy London office. The successful candidate will be supporting the work of the firm’s Practice Manager and will gain experience of a wide range of practice management skills. This is a full-time position, initially for a fixed-term of 6 months, but with the possibility of the post being made permanent.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for an administration position with lots of variety in a friendly and supportive environment. Candidates will need previous experience of working in an administrative support role and must be capable of adapting to the different demands of the job, from practical tasks such as organising repairs to the office through to more complex tasks which will require good written communication skills. Experience of working in a law firm is not essential, but applicants will need to be resourceful with excellent organisational skills.
The salary for the position is £22,000 per annum + 5% pension contribution.
