...amidst the gloom of the legal aid bill, the LAPG's Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year awards provided a moment to celebrate the fantastic achievements that legal aid lawyers make every day. We are particularly proud to announce three YLAL members whose work was recognised at the event last night. Steve Broach (Doughty Street) [2] won the young barrister of the year award, Adam Sandell (Matrix) [3] was also shortlisted for young barrister award and Committee member Sara Lomri [4] was shortlisted for the young solicitor award.
