Salary: £36,000 – £40,000 p.a. depending on experience
Location: Leeds, option for hybrid working
Leeds Citizens Advice & Law Centre is a local charity working for a fairer society where people are free from the effects of poverty and injustice. We help people to resolve financial, housing, employment and other legal issues through telephone, online and face to face services.
We are looking for an experienced (Level 2 IAAS, minimum 3 years’ PQE) solicitor to deliver asylum and immigration advice, advocacy and representation. Although the post is grant-funded, experience of working under legal aid would be an advantage.
We’re seeking candidates who are enthusiastic about helping us to build our legal advice services and increase access to justice in the city. This includes training and developing new caseworkers, so you will have experience of line management and supervising the work of others, or be willing to develop these skills. You will work to high quality standards (LCALC currently holds SQM) and be able to manage your own and others’ performance to meet targets and KPIs.
