Mind (London) – Senior Lawyer

An exciting opportunity has arisen to help Mind in its legal work.

As well as assisting with interventions in test case litigation, you will be involved in:

  • Overseeing Mind’s legal helpline service
  • Preparing written materials and providing training on mental health law, mental capacity, community care, discrimination, human rights and judicial review
  • Contributing to Mind’s policy and campaigns work and our work in the Covid 19 Public Inquiry

You must be a qualified solicitor or barrister entitled to hold a practising certificate and have detailed knowledge of at least 2 of these areas of law.

We are particularly interested in hearing from people who have experience of human rights and policy work, and mental health law in relation to children and young people.

Working pattern

We’re now moving to hybrid working. This means working remotely some of the time and coming into the office at least 2 days a week. More flexible working patterns can be discussed.
