Rights of Women (London) – Volunteer Telephone Advisors

Rights of Women are currently seeking qualified women* solicitor, barrister or legal executive volunteers to provide legal advice on our free family law advice lines based in central London.
Rights of Women is a registered charity which aims to increase women’s understanding of their legal rights and improve their access to justice.
The free telephone advice lines have provided many thousands of women with legal advice and information on a wide range of issues including domestic violence, child arrangements, relationship breakdown and immigration and asylum issues. They provide a safe space for women to talk about their situation and receive expert legal advice to enable them to make important decisions about their future.
The volunteers must hold a full practising certificate and have a specialism in family law. The volunteers will be provided with advice line skills training and we ask for a commitment of one 2 hour advice sessions each month. Volunteer legal advisers receive training and expenses and we arrange regular events such as CPD accredited training and social events.
You can find out more about the role and how to apply by visiting the website.
