Scottish Women’s Rights Centre (Glasgow) – Part-time solicitor (Maternity cover)
The SWRC is an inclusive, unique and collaborative project which aims to improve outcomes for women in Scotland who have suffered gender-based violence, bringing together the expertise of Rape Crisis Scotland, the University of Strathclyde Law Clinic, and our experienced team of human rights lawyers at JustRight Scotland.
If successful, you will provide advice and information to women affected by gender-based violence throughout Scotland. The focus of the role will be on providing legal advice through outreach helplines and surgeries, however, this may include managing some casework tasks and activities.
This role is suitable for both newly qualified Solicitors and those with post-qualifying experience.
This role is only available to women. This is a Genuine Occupational Requirement as provided for by Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010. More details are available here.
Working hours: Part time (7-14 hours per week) or 0.2 – 0.4 FTE
Leave: 38.5 days per annum, pro rata (inclusive of public holidays and flexible working)
Salary: £35,211 – £38.945 FTE (Band 3) – subject to annual pay review from April 1st, 2025

Location: Central Glasgow office with home-based working where feasible. Some travel around Scotland required.
