Wesley Gryk Solicitors (London) – Paralegal

Wesley Gryk Solicitors LLP is a niche private immigration and nationality practice, rated Band 1 by both Chambers and Partners and the Legal 500.

We are seeking to appoint two paralegals to support the solicitors at the firm with their active caseloads involving a full range of immigration, nationality, and asylum matters.  

The contract is permanent (following a three-month probation period); the salary is initially £24,439, rising to £27,668 after 6 months; and the working hours are Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 5.30pm. For the first three months, the post is based in our offices near Waterloo Station, but it is then hybrid, with three days in the office required.

We are planning for one successful candidate to start before the summer and one by September 2023 (though these dates may change).   We are looking for a graduate who is aware of, and interested in, the issues surrounding immigration and has a commitment to equality and human rights, and to promoting the rights of migrants. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to
detail, and the ability to effectively prioritise and manage deadlines. 

This position is very much one where you learn “on-the-job”. Many of the tasks are administrative but, subject to performance, you will be given increasingly complex tasks, more responsibilities, and more control over cases, although always under a solicitor’s supervision.
