Wilson Solicitors has a vacancy for a Trainee Solicitor (funded by the Justice First Fellowship) to commence in April 2024. The areas of law covered will include, immigration, public, and human rights law. The position will also include some time spent with the LGBTQ charity Rainbow Migration. Job Title: Trainee Solicitor (Justice First Fellowship)
Description: We are delighted to have been chosen as a host for a trainee solicitor position under the 2023 Justice First Fellowship programme. We are one of the UK’s leading legal aid providers ranked in Chambers and the Legal 500. We believe in justice for all and in 2021 we won the Excellence in Access to Justice Award from the Law Society. We are partnering with Rainbow Migration, one of the leading charities for LGBTQ asylum seekers and migrants, and the successful applicant will spend a part of their training contract working with them.
Eligibility: Completed and passed (or expect to pass by 14 March 2024) the Legal Practice Course (LPC) or have an undergraduate degree and completed and passed SQE Part 1.
Areas of Law: Immigration and Refugee Law, with Human Rights and Public Law
Location: 697 High Road, London, N17 8AD
Starting Salary and Hours: £27,900 p.a. (SQE1 passed) – £28,350 p.a. (LPC passed) with pay rise
after 12 months, 35 Hours per week
Duration: Two years
