Young Roots (Online / London) – Trustee
Young Roots is a charity supporting young asylum-seekers and refugees in London. We are recruiting three new trustees to be part of our friendly, dynamic and professional Trustee Board.
These exciting new positions will have a crucial role in guiding the future of our work. While trustees have distinct areas of responsibility, all trustees are responsible for ensuring the charity fulfils its charitable purposes, and for helping to take strategic and financial decisions.
We are particularly looking for trustees with skills and experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Youth work, youth participation and youth leadership
• Digital development
• Human Resources
We welcome applications from all ages and backgrounds. We particularly welcome applications from people from racialised minority backgrounds and those with lived experience of the asylum system.
We want to emphasise that previous board/trustee experience is not necessary, as training will be provided. To learn more, please download our recruitment pack here.
These are voluntary positions however, we encourage trustees to claim all reasonable expenses incurred as a result of their voluntary work as trustees, such as travel and childcare expenses.
The deadline for application is: 9am, Monday 17 April. We are holding an informal information sharing meeting which will take place remotely at 17.30 – 18.30, Tuesday 11 April. To register for the session, please email: jo@youngroots.org.uk.
