Practitioner Groups are exactly what they say on the tin; groups of practitioners working or interested in a specific area of work. 

Some require you to be working in a certain area, but others will let you join as a student or interested person.

Legal Aid Practitioners Group (£100 for individuals)

Haldane Society of Socialist Lawyers (£20 for students/trainees, £50 for practicing barristers/solicitors)

Human Rights Lawyers Association (free for students, £15 for pupils/trainees, £20 for junior practitioners)

Bar Human Rights Committee (£25 for students, trainees, pupils and barristers 0 – 5 years call)

Criminal Bar Association (£35 for pupils and barristers under 3 years’ call)

Defence Extradition Lawyers Forum (£25 for paralegals, pupils and trainees)

Discrimination Law Association (£25 for students)

Employment Lawyers Association (£50 for trainee and qualified lawyers)

Family Law Bar Association (£15 for students, £25 for junior barristers)

Housing Law Practitioners Association (free for students and pupils)

Immigration Law Practitioners Association (£15 for students, £129 for pupils and trainees)

Inquest (not open to students, £50 for pupil barristers)

Resolution (family law) (free for students)
