YLAL Event, 08.07.2015

On Wednesday 8 July 2015 at 6 pm, we will be meeting at Brick Court Chambers for an exciting talk by barristers Paul Bowen QC (Brick Court Chambers), Alison Pickup (Doughty Street Chambers) and solicitor Roopa Tanna (Islington Law Centre). 

They will be speaking about the judicial review case of Gudanaviciene and others v The Director of Legal Aid Casework [2014] EWCA Civ 1622. 

In this case, they were instructed by B, an Iranian national who arrived in the UK in March 2013 and claimed asylum fearing persecution for her political activities on behalf of Kurds then sought help to bring family members to join her in the UK.
