The paper was submitted following a meeting with the new Minister Lord Hunt in which the Minister confirmed that he was ‘genuinely interested’ in how new lawyers enter legal aid work and the problems YLAL are raising.  This paper was submitted on 10th September and the Commission has already responded positively, inviting YLAL representatives to a meeting to discuss the paper.
