Essay competition to win free LPC place
The partner magazine to the Solicitors’ Journal “Young Lawyer” has teamed up with legal training provider NCLT to offer one of their readers the chance to win a free place on an LPC course of your choice, worth more than £8,000.

As you embark on your training to become a lawyer, the legal profession is undergoing the most radical change in decades, which will result in law firms losing the monopoly on the provision of legal advice. The latest Young Lawyer essay competition asks what you think the new legal services landscape has in store for the next generation of lawyers? For your chance to win, email your entry to editorial@younglawyer.co.uk. Your essay must answer the question below and follow the Young Lawyer competition rules: “How do you think legal reform will affect you and other aspiring lawyers training to become solicitors?“ The rules: Word count: Between 1,100 and 1,300 Criteria: Essays will be judged on structure, coherence, accuracy and strength of argument Closing date: All essays must be emailed to editorial@younglawyer.co.uk by close of play, 29 June 2012. The winner will be notified in July and announced in the Autumn issue of Young Lawyer. The prize: One winner will be offered a free place on an LPC of their choice at any of NCLT’s study centres – London, Coventry, Manchester, Southampton, Derby or Sunderland. The course will start September 2012 or September 2013. The winner can choose a full-time or part-time LPC. The prize includes all tuition fees, course material, examinations and certification.
