MOJ announce criminal legal aid cull
The Minsistry of Justice has today announced plans to reduce the number of criminal legal aid firms dramatically by July 2011. YLAL approaches its 5th birthday next month, yet policy seems to be back to square one. The annoucment of this cull with the list of the highest legal aid earners skews the real issues that YLAL care about most: good quality representation for clients and preventing miscarriages of justice
