Question Time 2009

Question Time 2009 – Thursday 15 October – BOOK NOW!

You can now book tickets for Question Time 2009, at 7pm on 15 October 2009 at South Bank University (near Elephant and Castle).

The first half of the event will celebrate 60 years of legal aid. We have a great line up: George Daly (College of Law) will be stepping into Michael Aspel’s shoes to examine legal aid’s ‘This is your life’ red book. His presentation will include guest appearances from figures that have contributed most to legal aid’s first 60 years.

The second half will feature our usual Question Time panel discussion. Jon Snow will chair the panel, which will comprise Lord Bach (Minister for Legal Aid), Carolyn Regan (Chief Executive of the LSC), Henry Bellingham MP (Conservative), Afua Hirsch (The Guardian) and a young legal aid lawyer. The panel will reflect upon the last 60 years of legal aid and discuss its future, focusing on the issue of social mobility within the legal profession.

There will be the usual buffet interval and CPD points will be available for attendants.
