Shelter briefing to legal aid bill committee

Housing and homelessness charity Shelter have produced a briefing document for MPs on the Legal Aid Bill Committee addressing the difficulties that the Bill will cause to those struggling with housing problems, who cannot afford to pay for a lawyer privately. YLAL is pleased to support the briefing.

Shelter labels the Legal Aid Bill, which curtails legal aid for many housing cases, a “green light to rogue landlords” saying that it “will tie the hands of advisers who are trying to prevent homelessness”.
